ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility

Festival area and traveling in the area The area is located on Lutakonaukio, which is covered with asphalt or hard street paving. It is easy to move along this with a wheelchair or other assistive device. Some of the roads leading to the area may contain thresholds and uneven cobblestones. We try to keep the passageways and gates in the area easy to navigate, and our staff helps with smooth movement.

The main stage is located at the end of the Pavilion on Lutakonaukki on the asphalt. In front of the stage, next to the mixing tent, there is a wheelchair platform. There is limited space, but we strive to offer barrier-free stands for those who need them. Cables and water pipes can run in the area, which are protected by cable trays.

Special effects, lights and loud sounds

Various light, sound and special effects are used in the event. They can be strong, bright and flashing. The sounds from performances can be loud, especially near the stage. There may be strong smells, sounds and tastes at the event. The mass of the audience can occasionally cause dense pressure, for example in the immediate vicinity of the stage against the pressure fence. You can find more spacious places to watch the program in the back of the audience area, on the sides and around the wheelchair platform. In addition, there are seats in the bar and dining area.

WC facilities

There are accessible toilets in the event area. These can be found near the wheelchair lift and in the toilet areas. We also have a toilet pass with which you can use all toilet services intended for customers in the event area.

Traffic and parking

Episode Student Festival encourages arriving by public transport. If you arrive by car, prefer shared rides. The event does not have its own parking spaces, and you cannot drive your own car to the event gates. There is a parking garage under Lutakonaukio, from which there is no direct accessible access to the field. The nearest accessible parking is in the P-Paviljonki 2 hall at Uno Savolankatt. It is possible for wheelchairs to arrive right at the entrance of the festival area, where there is a separate entrance for wheelchairs.

Suite

The assistant can attend the event free of charge in the company of a customer who needs an assistant for their daily activities or business. The assistant must arrive at the entrance of the event at the same time as the assisted one, where the assistant will receive a wristband entitling them to enter. The need for an assistant does not need to be announced in advance. The entrance is located on the right side of the festival area from the direction of the Pavilion. Please be prepared to present an assistant card, friend card, disability card or visually impaired card when requested. You can also take a guide dog with you if necessary, but please be aware of loud noises and crowds.
