The 20-year-old talented pop artist HUGO from Porvoo is the newest addition to Epic Records Finland, captained by top producer Santeri Kauppinen aka MD$. HUGO first got to know the up-and-coming rapper AHTI, who served as HUGO's mentor and helped him start his career as an artist. HUGO hit the radar of Epic Records at the beginning of 2023, after which things have progressed exceptionally fast, as HUGO's debut single Puhutaaan dikto was released in June 2023, the second single Sijoituksii feat. SMURDY in August and
breakthrough song Taulut feat. Costi in September.

After the release of the Taulut single, HUGO's hits have made a clear mark on Finland's Spotify Top50 list. Tables feat. Costi has been in Spotify's Top20 continuously for more than 7 months and it just reached quadruple platinum with 16 million streams. The previous single for Su also recently crossed the platinum mark of four million streams. In addition, AHTI's Väärää våde feat. Since its release, HUGO has had a good time on both Spotify and radio lists and has already been streamed more than 8 million times, which entitles it to double platinum. HUGO's latest release is Virheet, released in March 2024, featuring another hot pop newcomer Bee. It also rose to the top of Spotify's Top50 list and radio playlists right after its release.
